Awesome or Awful? 10 Upcoming Movies Adapted from Games

It's common to see movies adapted from games recently. But in my opinion, it's not an easy thing to make a movie adapted from games. While trying to attract the movie fans, you have to make sure the gamers won't be disgusted with the movie. That's why it's rare to see any excellent movie adapted from games.

However, film directors are still trying their best to take more and more games to the screen. And recently I have collected some upcoming movies that are inspired by games. Is there any one you're looking forward to? Now just follow me:

10. Need for Speed

Need for Speed

Need for Speed from EA can be called the most successful racing game series. And according to the news, the movie Need for Speed will be written by John Gatins, directed by Scott Waugh who is also the director of Act of Valor. Though this movie is not just adapted from one of the game series, but it will preserve the fidelity of the game. The movie is planned to be released on Feb. 7th, 2014.

9. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Recently, Ubisoft and New Regency announced that they will work together to make the movie adapted from Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, and the hero of this movie will be Tom Hardy. The movie aside, Tom Hardy is enough to make me expect this movie.

8. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon

Ubisoft Motion Pictures, who take charge of Ubisoft's film and TV industry, announced recently that they're working together with Michael Bay to adapt the game Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon into movie. As the director of Armageddon, Pearl Harbor and Transformers, we believe Michael Bay won't disappoint us.

7. Assassin's Creed

Assassin's Creed

It seems Ubisoft is really busy in this year. According to a news from Box Office Mojo, the release date of the movie Assassin's Creed is now set on May 22nd, 2015. The movie is made by Ubisoft and New Regency, while the hero of this movie will be Michael Fassbender.

6. Uncharted

Uncharted

Uncharted series have already got a high popularity all over the world, and Sony is preparing to adapt this game into movie. Though the director of this movie hasn't been decided yet, but it may possibly be David O. Russell. The game is really superb, but I think it's hard to have any highlight in this theme of movie.
