Players of the popular "FrontierVille" game on Facebook have created 650,000 same-sex marriages within the game.
So says Zynga CEO Marc Pincus (he's the guy in charge of the company responsible all those games your Facebook friends are playing, i.e "FarmVille,""PetVille," "Mafia Wars" etc.)

"That's amazing, that's probably more than any country in the whole world," Pincus said during the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, according to TechCrunch.
"FrontierVille" isn't the first game to feature same-sex relationships, but it is the first game to take them to the mainstream in such a big way. And kudos to Zynga for that.
Meanwhile, Pincus had some other interesting statistics to offer the crowd. Among them:
He said 320 million people have played a Zynga game, and the company has seen more than "3 million peak concurrent users" (that's users playing games at the same time). In fact, at any time during the day, at least four of your friends are playing one of their games, Pincus said.
And you better get ready for more games. Zynga has 400 people focused on new IP. And, according to Mashable, the company has ten major games being produced by 13 studios in six different countries.
The point, said Pincus, is that it's time to take a break. Since we no longer have time to kick back and watch an entire TV show, he said Zynga's goal is to give people short 10-minute reprieves from their hectic lives.
And if growing virtual vegetables isn't relaxing then I don't know what is.
