Merlin The Game was Created by Bossa Studios, whose previous titles include the BAFTA-winning Monstermind, the upcoming RPG will focus on capturing the epic story of the TV series and merging it with real-time, multiplayer gameplay.

Bossa Studios' creator in chief Imre Jele said, "We have carefully crafted the game to capture the very essence of the world's most famous sorcerer. Players can explore magical lands while adventuring alongside trusty allies in the Crystal Cave, knocking out ferocious Wilddeoren rats or uniting with one of their favourite characters like Merlin or Arthur."

Merlin The Game will take place in the same universe as the TV show (even featuring the same original music), and players will be able to quest as their own knight or magician until they're strong enough to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the likes of Merlin and Arthur.  Merlin The Game will allow players a large degree of flexibility when creating characters, so if you're not entirely sold on the rigid melee playstyle of the knight you can mix and match it with spells from the magician.
