CastleVille Quests Guide: Alstair– The Great Hall

The Great Hall – Part I (First 10 out of 20 quests)

1. En Guarde
   > Banish two gloom wolves (Wolves can be activated by either logging, tending to animals or plants
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
2. Food and Shelter
   > Provide 4 houses as shelter from the gloom (Bought at he marketplace –> Buildings –> Houses, Build at least 4 homes)
   > Tax 7 houses (Collect when rent cooldown is ready)
   > Harvest 20 wheat from your kingdom (Plant wheat and collect when harvest cooldown is ready, this takes 24 hours)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
3. Thought for Food
   > Have 1 kitchen in your kingdom (Can be bought on the marketplace under Buildings –> Crafting)
   > Craft 4 items from your kitchen (Craft anything possible on your kitchen, pick ones that are fast and cheap to produce)
   > Put cooking into use, use 1 item on inventory (Use 1 item that is crafted or available on your kitchen)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
4. Clear Intentions
   > Move 5 items to make room for the great hall (Organize adequate vacant space to prepare for your building)
   > Clear away 6 rocks, plants or trees for the foundation (Mine stones, chop down trees or do some gardening)
   > Have 4 regal hoes to help with clearing  (Requested using the Facebook feeds, need friends to click)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
5. A Good Foundation
   > Prove your knowledge. Reach player level 9 (Requires leveling up)
   > Get your castle to 125 (Increase your castle value by building royal structures)
   > Place and construct the foundation of the Great hall (Found in your inventory, place the great hall on space you provided)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
6. Tower defense
   > Have 16 rubble walls to protect you (Walls can be bought at the marketplace –> Decorations –> Nature –> Walls)
   > Build a castle moat (4 moats needed, can be bought at the marketplace under Decorations –>  Nature –> Water)
   > Have 5 dragon scales (Requested using the Facebook feeds, need friends to click)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
7. Fortified
   > Have 2 barracks in your kingdom (Can be bought at the marketplace under Buildings –> Royal)
   > Collect coins to build your castle. tax barracks 3 times. (Collect tax as soon as tax cooldown of building is ready)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
8. Outer Beauty
   > Buy 3 decorations to cheer up kingdom (Decorations can be bought at the marketplace, just buy cheap ones)
   > Buy 3 nature items to fight off gloom (Bought at the marketplace –> Nature)
   > Have 6 fairy wings. the dust makes everything sparkle (Requested using the Facebook feeds, need friends to click)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
9. Castle Improvement
   > Show your experience. reach level 11. (Requires leveling up)
   > Get your castle to 200  (Increase your castle value by building royal structures)
   > Continue construction of the great hall (Interact with the great hall to continue its progress)
   Rewards: 500 Coins and 10 Experience Points
10. Cultural awareness
    > Construct a studio to enhance your kingdoms culture (Can be bought at the marketplace under buildings)
    > Craft 4 artistry recipe's from your studio (Craft anything cheap and fast)
    > Besides crafting decorations you can also buy them. go buy 3 decorations and place them on your kingdom (Buy decorations on the marketplace)
    Rewards: 1000 Coins and 20 Experience Points

Part II

Look Beyond

1. Click the Full Screen button for a better view of your Kingdom.
   >Hint:Click the Full Screen Options button the far right side of the screen. Use Full screen mode to get a better view of your whole Kingdom.
2. Click the ground and drag to look around your Kingdom. 
   >Hint:Click and drag to pan around and view different parts of your Kingdom.

View From Above

1. Improve your Castle by buying 1 Maiden's Tower. .
   >Hint:The Maiden's Tower can be found in the Buildings Tab of the Market.
2. Gather materials and construct your Maiden's Tower. 
   > Hint:Collect materials to construct the Maiden's Tower. This is the first step of construction.

Sterner Stuff

1. Add Crew members to complete the Maiden's Tower.
   > Hint:Invite crew by clicking on your Maiden's Tower and then clicking on the Recruit button.
2. Explore out into the Gloom 1 time. 
   > Hint:Use Expansion Crystals to explore. Craft them Crystal Shards at the Workshop. Get Crystal Shards from Beasties or ask your Friends.

It Takes a Village

1. Provide 2 Cottages as shelter from the Gloom.
   > Hint:Buy Cottages in the Buildings section of the Market.
2. Tax 2 houses for coins. 
   > Hint:Click on Houses to tax them.
3. Gather 5000 coins for the Royal Coffers.
   > Hint:Continue to collect taxes from buildings to get more coins.

A Call to Arms

1. Have 1 Barracks.
   >Hint:You can buy a Barracks in the Buildings Tab in the market.
2. Collect Taxes from your Barracks. 
   >Hint:Click on a fully built Barracks to Collect Taxes.
3. Have 1 Workshop in your Kingdom.
   >Hint:Purchase a Workshop from the Buildings section of the Market.

A Daring Rescue

1. Exploration Crystals are required for Exploring. Have 6 to dispel the Gloom around Alastair.
   > Hint:Craft Exploration Crystals from Crystal Shards in the Workshop. Get Shards by banishing Beasties or asking Friends.
2. Explore the Gloomy Area and rescue Alastair.
   > Hint:Select the new area with Alastair in it and disperse the Gloom.

Feeling Crafty

1. Build 1 new Crafting Building for your kingdom.
   Hint:Build more crafting buildings to unlock new recipes and craft multiple items at once.
2. Craft 6 items for your Kingdom. 
   Hint:Click on a Crafting Building to start a new craft.
3. Gather supplies for your Castle. Collect from 7 Crafting Support Buildings.
   Hint:Collect 7 times from Buildings bought in the Crafting section of the Market that are not the Workshop, Kitchen, or Studio.

Peasant Dreams

1. Shelter 4 subjects from the Gloom.
   Hint:Explore gloomy areas to find people to rescue from the Gloom.
2. Craft 5 Grape Juice to celebrate with your subjects.
   Hint:This item can be crafted after you build a Kitchen. Buy Crafting buildings in the Market.

Get Resourceful

1. Build a source for wood. Own 2 Logging Camps.
   Hint:Buy in the Buildings section of the Market.
2. Gain access to more stone. Own 2 Mining Camps.
   Hint:Buy in the Buildings section of the Market.
3. Make good use of your new buildings. Gather 20 times from mines and lumber mills.
   Hint:Click on the Gathering Building when it is ready to collect building materials.

Even Greater

1. Keep seeking more knowledge. Reach level 13.
   Hint:Earn XP from activities and quests to gain levels.
2. Get your Castle to 300.
   Hint:Build Royal Buildings to raise your Castle Level.
3. Continue construction of the Great Hall.
   Hint:Gather materials to complete the next stage of construction.

Earn Your Keep

1. Sell an old Cottage.
   Hint:Go to Design mode and Sell the Cottage.
2. Construct a new Chateau.
   Hint:Build a Chateau from the Houses tab of the Building section of the Market.
3. Gather more coins for your Castle. Tax 20 Houses.
   Hint:Click on the Houses when they are ready to collect taxes.

Vault-y Tower

1. Protect your Coins! Build a Vault for your Kingdom.
   Hint:A Vault will make your Castle stand even stronger against the Gloom.
2. Earn more Coins. Tax the Vault 3 times.
   Hint:Click on buildings to tax them.

Diplomacy

1. Earn 30 Reputation.
   Hint:Visit Neighbors and do activities in their Kingdom to earn Reputation.
2. Visit 5 different Neighbors and help them by doing actions in their Kingdom.
   Hint:Click on things in neighboring Kingdoms to preform actions.

Worthy

1. Make the Beasties fear your presence. Reach level 15.
   Hint:Earn XP from activities and quests to gain levels.
2. Get your Castle to 400.
   Hint:Build Royal Buildings to raise your Castle Level.
3. Complete the Great Hall for your Castle.
   Hint:Gather Click the Great Hall to see the materials needed to complete it.
