The ChefVille has released a new series of quests called Halloween Ball. With this quick guide, you can complete it more quickly.

After a rocky 24 hours, Zynga has finally started resuming the rollout of ChefVille's Halloween quests to players. The quests were put on hold for everyone but a lucky few due to bugs, but the new themed cooking appliances, like the Haunted Broiler, have been available the entire time. Needless to say, this was a cause of anger for some and confusion for many others, but you can try your best to complete these first Halloween quests, which will be available for the next 15 days.
The Haunted Broiler
The Haunted Broiler costs 1,200 coins to purchase in the store, and requires building materials to complete. You'll need 16 items in all, which can be earned through a combination of general news posts and individual requests sent to friends. As for the Pumpkin Spice required for this first quest, you can earn all four by posting a general request on your news feed asking your neighbors for help. If you're tired of waiting for your friends to help you, you can also help them by clicking on their own posts. It's a win-win for you both!
Finally, the Monster Pumpkin Soup is the first dish available to cook in the Halloween Cauldron, which costs 1,500 coins in the store. It requires one Pumpkin, two Onions and two Mushrooms to cook. It only takes two minutes to prepare from beginning to end, and by the time you've cooked the dish three times, you'll have earned the first two Spooky Halloween Ribbons of mastery. When you complete this overall quest, you'll receive five XP and 35 coins, and will also unlock the Pumpkin Ravioli dish that can be cooked inside the Halloween Cauldron.
Unfortunately, if you already purchased Halloween decorations while waiting for these quests to arrive, they won't count for this quest and you'll need to purchase six more. You can choose from items both large and small, but if you're looking to complete this quest without wasting a lot of coins, your best bet is to purchase any of the Halloween Striped Wall pieces, as they count as decoration and cost just 20 coins each
When it comes to the Spooky Spaghetti, this is a dish that can be cooked in the Halloween Cauldron using two Sirloin Beef, one Dough and one Mozzarella Cheese. It takes just three minutes to prepare, and you'll earn even more Spooky Halloween Ribbons for cooking the full six required for this quest. Hopefully, the time it takes you to cook these Spooky Spaghetti will be enough for some Wild Pumpkins to grow on your land, which will grow at random just like Mushrooms and Onions. Since that probably still won't happen for some time though, you can feel free to visit Madeline for five Pumpkins to tend, and can visit other friends in the hopes that they've got some as well.
When you finish this quest, you'll have officially started the Halloween Ball quest series, as the first quest served as more of an introduction to the Haunted Broiler and Halloween Cauldron. You'll unlock three new things when completing this quest: the Pumpkin Bread Pudding dish within the Haunted Broiler, the Halloween Scarecrow which can be purchased in the store for 10,000 coins, and a skeleton avatar top.
The New Ghoul
The Invitations to the Costume Ball are earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors for help. If you've already asked your neighbors for items like Pumpkin ingredients, you might be forced to wait up to 24 hours before you can send out more requests. Since this is already the second quests in this Halloween Ball series, and there are still 15 days left to complete all four, it's not time to panic about sending out those requests just yet. Just make sure that you check on your request status every few hours to see if you're once again available to ask friends for help.
When it comes to the other two tasks in this series, the Spooky Halloween Ribbons are most easily earned by cooking items like the Spooky Spaghetti above, or the Creepy Crepes in the Haunted Broiler, as they don't require Pumpkin Puree to cook (which is obviously a rather rare ingredient in this early stage of the Halloween event). When you complete this quest, you'll receive 5 XP and 40 coins. You'll also unlock the Devil Dress for female avatars, which can be purchased for just 500 coins.
All three of these dishes are cooked using the Haunted Broiler, with the Pumpkin Bread Pudding taking six full hours to cook. It's obviously best to cook this dish when you know you won't be coming back to the game for a while, so that you're not wasting time in the long run. A single Bread Pudding takes one Pumpkin Puree, two Wheat Bread and four Milk to cook, but before you start cooking one, always make sure and ask for Pumpkin from your friends (it's available via the Pumpkin Puree recipe), so that your friends can work on sending you Pumpkins while your Pumpkin Bread Pudding is actually cooking.
As for the Pumpkin Waffles, these take two Pumpkin Puree, one Dough and one Salt each. This dish takes three minutes to cook. Finally, a single Creepy Crepe takes three Pumpkins, one Flour and two Milk to cook. Milk is another item that you can ask your friends to send you directly, so try to do that whenever you have the option available to you. For completing this quest, you'll receive 10 XP, 75 coins and will unlock the Zombie Dress for female avatars. This dress costs 750 coins to purchase.
First things first, the Halloween Favors are earned by posting a general news item on your wall, asking friends for help. Secondly, the avatar clothing options include the Zombie and Devil options you've unlocked by completing quests in this series, or you can purchase one of the premium options, like a Unicorn Tutu for 20 Chef Cash or a witch's outfit for 5 Chef Cash. As for the final task, you'll need to cook all three dishes in both the Halloween Cauldron and the Haunted Broiler to 3-Ribbon Mastery to earn all 18 required for this quest, but since there are still almost two weeks left to finish this particular quest, it's possible that additional recipes could be released to ease the burden. As it stands, just make sure your two appliances are constantly cooking meals and you'll do fine!
