Designing and Decorating Your Bar

In the beginning of the game, Elena will walk you through naming your bar, choosing your favorite sports, choosing your favorite team, and choosing your team colors. If at any point you want to change any of these settings, just click on your bar's name icon in the top left.

To add decorations to your bar, go to the “Update Your Bar” tab, and select which decoration you want to add. Simply select the decoration of your choice and place it in your bar. If you want to change your wall or floor colors, you can also go through this menu and simply paint the new color or decal on the floor or wall where you want it.

If you want to move decorations, furniture, or stations, this is also done from the “Update Your Bar” tab. Simply roll your mouse over the item you want to move and choose what you want to do with it. If you don't want it in your bar at the moment, you can choose to put it in storage, rather than sell it; selling something and rebuying it later is more expensive.

Creating BUZZ to attract customers

As with any business, to run a successful bar you will want to create a buzz so that customers are going to come to your bar. The more BUZZ your bar has, the more profit you will receive from each sale and the more patrons will come into your bar.

BUZZ can be increased by adding any decoration to your bar. Furniture, televisions, floor or wall tiles; anything adds to your BUZZ score. If you have put a frame on your wall, you can buy a magazine cover of your choice for extra BUZZ.

Of course, any good sports bar has television where its patrons can watch their games. By clicking on your television, you can choose which game you want to run on your TV and receive extra BUZZ accordingly. If you have multiple televisions, you can also choose multiple games.

Serving Your Customers

To serve your customers you simply click on them when they request something. When you serve consecutive customers the same order, within a few seconds after another, you will receive a combo bonus.

Tip - If a customer walks in just as you want to click to serve another customer, wait a few second for the new customer to order. If he orders the same as your other customer, you can make a combo!

When stocking certain foods and drinks, you will be asked how much you want to stock of each drink, by how long you want to wait before the next refill. As your bar also does business while you are not playing, you will make a profit almost every time, even if you don't play that much within the given period. The best strategy is to choose the time when you think you will be playing next, to make sure you can restock as soon as possible and as such keep the bar running.

Customer's Emotions

The customers in your bar will have a variety of emotions, ranging from happy (chilling) to angry. You can always role your mouse over the customer to see their state of mind, but their facial expressions are usually telling enough.

If a customer is angry, this is usually because they have been waiting for their order for too long, or they are annoyed by a drunk customer. If an angry customer is waiting for an order, serve him as fast as you can or he might walk away. When a customer gets drunk, even if they're not yet annoying other customers, click on the boot-icon to boot them out your bar.

Visiting Your Friends’ Bars

If you have friends on Facebook that also play ESPN Sports Bar & Grill, you can visit their bar anytime. Helping them with their services does not only benefit them, but you will also receive experience points and money for it. Each day, you have 10 energy points in total to use on actions in your friends’ bars.

You are also able to trade your collectible items with your friends, to complete your own, or their own, collection. In order to put items up for trade, open the collectibles menu and add extra items you have to the trade box. Now when you go to the trade box, you can compare your items with your friends', and choose which items you want to trade.

Predict Games

To connect the experience more to real life, you are able to predict up to five real games per week. When you go the the “Game Predictor” menu, you will be shown a number of games you can predict. Simply choose which team you believe will win, and wait and see!

By correctly predicting game results, you will receive prediction points, which will earn you rewards. Any correct predictions by your friends will also count towards your points and vice-versa.
