After a tentative start on Facebook that includes MapleStory Adventures, Zombie Misfits and Wonder Cruise, Korean free-to-play giant Nexon is ready to launch its popular KartRider franchise on the platform.

Seoul-based online game publisher Nexon revealed today that it is bringing its popular KartRider franchise to Facebook next month.
KartRider Dashwill be the latest in a franchise that has seen 270 million registered users over all its versions since its original 2004 launch. Nexon launched an iOS version last year, which topped one million downloads in a single week, and has now seen over 6.7 million downloads in total.
Nexon has taken its time finding footing on Facebook. Aside from launching MapleStory Adventures in 2011, the Korean publisher experimented with different ways to engage with the platform throughout the last year — including investing in developers A Bit Lucky and 6waves Lolapps and co-developing or publishing new IP for the platform.
Based on the developer's previous efforts on Facebook, its established franchises do much better than new intellectual property like Zombie Misfits and Wonder Cruise, regardless of how interesting the former is. That said, KartRider Dash could set the standard for real-time racing on the platform. So keep attention.
